1) What is Beta Chi Theta? Why Rush Beta Chi Theta?
Beta Chi Theta is a nationally South Asian fraternity based on the pillars of brotherhood, tradition, service to humanity, academic excellence, south asian awareness, and nationwide network. We strive for excellence in each of these respective areas, and our goal as an organization is to bring young men into this organization today and mold them into the gentlemen that will lead in their respective lives and career fields tomorrow. By attending Beta Chi Theta’s rush events, one will see the many opportunities that this fraternity has to offer and the prestige that goes behind being a highly esteemed Brother of this fraternity. Relationships and acquaintances can be made and forgotten during college, but a brotherhood bond is something one can cherish throughout his entire life.
2) Will pledging the fraternity interfere with my academics? How much time will the process take?
Pledging Beta Chi Theta will definitely take time; however, pledging to join any Greek organization will take time. The process takes different amounts of time each week; however, there is one thing that is certain, academics are important. The bottom line reason for attending an institution such as the UC Riverside is to get a degree and become prepared to assimilate into real life that follows college. The process of becoming a brother of Beta Chi Theta ensures there will be plenty of time and opportunities for one to excel in his field of academia, yet it will also allow one to grow as a person, and above all else, join into a closely knit family. As one of the 6 main pillars this organizations stands on, academic excellence is something Beta Chi Theta strives to uphold.
3) Are there any dues required?
There are new member dues associated with the process; however, they are very affordable for the average, every day college student. The dues are set to cover any activities and events associated with the process.
4) How do you know if a fraternity is for you?
One can continuously speculate over whether he is or is not a “fraternity” man. At the end of the day, it is how comfortable you feel around a group of people that will help determine whether or not you are a “fraternity” man. Beta Chi Theta prides itself on having a diverse amount of members from the university pool that fit into vast number of different groups in and around campus. There is however, one thing that brings each Brother of Beta Chi Theta together at the end of the day, and that is the strong bond of brotherhood that he shares with his brothers.
